East Tennessee State University is celebrating Homecoming with a Halloween twist this weekend in Johnson City.

The Buccaneers host Tennessee Tech on Saturday, October 31, at 3:30 p.m. at Bank of Tennessee Field at William B. Greene Jr. Stadium, according to the university's published football schedule.

This year's Homecoming theme is Red, White, Blue & Gold, with campus activities extending from October 26 through November 1.

ETSU is pairing its homecoming game with Halloween-themed promotions, and tailgaters are encouraged to offer trick-or-treat opportunities.

The team will wear special Halloween-inspired helmet designs, including a Spooky E marking and versions of Bucky with skeleton, mummy and trick-or-treat themes.

Kingsport native and ETSU tight end Charlie Browder helped inspire the helmet project, according to the university.

The first 1,000 fans at the game are scheduled to receive a Bucky Jersey Series bobblehead, courtesy of BrightRidge.

ETSU's football alumni will also be recognized during Homecoming festivities.

More than one day of celebrations

The university's Homecoming schedule includes student events on Thursday and Friday, a comedian and yard show Saturday evening, and a gospel choir brunch concert on Sunday, November 1.

Some activities may have participation restrictions or ticket requirements, so attendees should check the official Homecoming schedule.

Planning your visit

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Eastern on October 31; verify parking, ticketing, tailgate instructions and updated promotions before arriving.

ETSU provides game tickets and related details through its official athletics website.

For students, alumni and area families, this Halloween Homecoming offers a busy weekend of football and community spirit.
